Road Trip to Ohio

For Matt's Spring Break we all made the trek to Ohio.  Here are some highlights of our trip!

In the car and on the road with all of the essentials: Bottle, Shagbark, Snack Bin, Toy Bin... that is what's important right?

James First Picnic!!!  We were half way there and needed to stretch our legs.  We thought a nice picnic would be a fun option... You might notice that it's a bit cold...

We stayed at Grammy and Poppy's house for the trip, and the Snider cousins came over to play a couple times during the week.  There was Zachary, Parker, Sarah, and Abby.  We played with the castle, made macaroni necklaces, read stories and so much more.  Cousins are fun!

I was wearing my shirt that says "Chicks Dig Me".  Apparently I was right!  I didn't ever think that my first kiss from a beautiful lady would be from my cousin Abby though... hmmmmm...

My Uncle Matthew came over to visit me.  The minute he walked in the door I didn't want anyone else.  He's the coolest!  I am his prodigy!

My Aunt Ebeth is so funny!  She LOVES to play with me and spoil me rotten!  Oh, and she also likes to tickle me!  (Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee, Hee)

I finally learned that crawling forward isn't that bad of a deal!  There were so many fun things to discover at Grammy and Poppy's that I needed to get mobile quick!

I LOVE puppies!  I have Shagbark and Winstuff and Sandy and so many more at home!  Whenever I see a puppy I go crazy!  This is Oscar. He is my Uncle Matthew's real puppy.  Mom and Dad thought that I would have a blast with Oscar since I like puppies so much, so Uncle Matthew brought him over to play with me.  Oscar ran into the door, ran right up to me, licked my face all over and ran away!  It took me at least two minutes to even figure out what happened.  I decided that I like the stuffed puppies and that real puppies should stay behind their gate.

I didn't mind my Uncle Matthew's soft and quiet old kitty though...

I spent all day on Friday with my Nana and Grandpa while Mom and Dad went to lunch with Uncle BrentWe watched Little Einstein, played with toys, cuddled, and made noises.  I had so much fun and was all tuckered out when Mom and Dad came.  There's no better place to sleep than on Nana's shoulder!

Dad and Uncle Brent

I visited Grandma Carolyn at her house and she had this awesome red and orange caterpillar.  It was fabulous to lay on and delicious to munch!

Grandma Carolyn held me and rocked me in a super big rocking chair!  It was so much fun!

Uncle Richard and I are going to need a bit more time before we decide what we think of each other... or maybe just to decide we like each other.

Since I have lots and lots of hair, Mommy decided it was time for my first hair cut!  Grammy is such a good hair stylist so she showed Mommy how to cut my hair.  Mommy was grateful and thrilled.  I wasn't very happy!

Poppy and Grammy took us out to Texas Roadhouse for Mommy's birthday and to send us on our way.  I ate almost ALL of Poppy's Cat Fish!  He didn't seem to mind, and I thought it was delicious.  Poppy thinks I'm incredibly fun because I like to eat the same things he does like catfish and buttermilk.

I was so happy Grammy got to go to lunch with us too!  Grammy is the best cuddler!  It was hard to say goodbye!

We left Saturday and drove half way to a hotel in Washington, PA.   We got up on Sunday to drive the rest of the way home.  We barely missed the Midwest snow storm that was coming through.  Mom and Dad let me play in the McDonald's PlayPlace in Maryland.  I thought that was super cool!

We finally got home!
