Mother's Day

I was telling Matt the other day that the meaning and importance of Mother's Day has entirely changed for me.  When we were kids, Mother's Day was my chance to put together a creative gift for my mom which typically included candy, flowers, a crosage, some sort of display of memories, and more.  It was my chance to be more and more creative as the years passed.  Now that I am a mom, my perspective on Mother's Day has entirely changed.

I'm a mom!

I've been blessed with many opportunities throughout my life.  I survived growing up with three brothers! I attended Brigham Young University.  I have an excellent career as an executive within a growing organization.  I have held many callings and had the chance to magnify them to the fullest. I have made some very good friends and had the opportunity to be close to each of them.  Regardless of all those accomplishments and more, the two accomplishments I have had in my life that I am most grateful for are priceless and eternal gifts from my Father in Heaven; the chance to be a wife and mother.   How could I not love a day that honors the roles I appreciate and respect most?

In honor of my special day, my boys spoiled me rotten!
