Springboro Easter Egg Drop!

Springboro Ohio has an Easter tradition called the Easter Egg Drop.  Thousands of kids and their families come together for several carnival like activities and the ultimate fun of participating in an Easter Egg Hunt on the football field of Springboro High School. The extra fun part is that the eggs are brought in and dropped from the sky by two HELICOPTERS!! Being that this is the first year that J really understands the fun of an Easter Egg Hunt, and his recent obsession with things that fly, we were extra excited to participate in this family event to start our Easter weekend celebration!

Our first stop was the train, of course!  There was a long line,
so J decided to wait very patiently by sitting on the sidewalk and
watching it go by.

Daddy and J finally got to ride the train in the VERY FRONT CAR!

Lots of families brought their pets to enjoy the weather.  We were
standing in line for the fire truck when J saw this beautifully, LARGE
dog walking by.  He was very happy to get to say hi!

Aunt Zizza and 'almost' Uncle Joe joined us for the day.
Aunts and Uncles are so much fun because they don't make
us follow the rules.

Lines are hard to wait in so Daddy decided to be funny!

Aunt Zizza and Uncle Joe decided to take the 'line waiting time' to
show J the fun in running down hills.  J decided that running was overrated,
but he loved when they "swung" him down the hill!

J got in the fire truck and decided he didn't need to get out.
He was perfectly happy pretending to be a firefighter, and
luckily the real firefighter was very patient...

After the fire truck we went to see the police officer and the police car.
J really likes things with wheels on them, so it was very exciting.  Once
we got up to the front of the line, J decided he didn't really care about seeing
the police officer, and he climbed up into the back of the car.  He was
perfectly happy enjoying the back seat of the police cruiser... I'm
not sure if this is a bad sign or not!

We met up with Uncle Matthew, 'almost' Aunt Caitlyn and our cousin Addison
at the event.  Addison was dressed perfectly as our little Easter Bunny!

Watching the helicopters was SO COOL!  Daddy put J on his
shoulders so he could see more.

Waiting for the hunt to start is hard!

The helicopters dropped 60,000 eggs to hunt. It was AWESOME!

J caught on quite quickly to the "hunting" process...

The day was fun and filled with family...
